Your Role
In this role, you will ensure reliable operation of BioLogic instruments through installation, calibration, preventive maintenance, repairs, and documentation. You will split your time between onsite and remote service across for customers and hands-on repair/calibration work at our Service and Repair Centre.
What You’ll Do
1. Field Installation, Calibration & Preventive Maintenance
· Install and qualify new instruments at customer sites; perform scheduled calibrations and preventive maintenance per SOPs.
· Ensure traceability for all installations and calibrations (records, certificates) and help ensure instrument uptime.
2. Troubleshooting & Onsite/Remote Support
· Diagnose hardware/software issues; implement corrective actions and escalate to HQ where needed.
· Deliver responsive onsite and remote (phone/email/online) support within ensuring alignment with TAT
3. Local Repairing, Calibration & Testing
· Take ownership of local repair and calibration activities within the India Service Centre.
· Perform PCB-level diagnostics and component-level repairs (resistors, capacitors, ICs, connectors) on channel boards, modules, and cables.
· Work safely and skilfully with soldering/rework tools, crimpers, multimeter/DMM, oscilloscope, cable testers, and calibration fixtures.
· Execute post-repair functional tests and calibrations, document results, and ensure quality sign-off before releasing back to customers.
4. AMC Promotion & Lifecycle Support
· Educate customers on AMC options (standard/comprehensive, extended warranty, calibration packages) and the value of preventive maintenance.
· Identify AMC opportunities during installations/PM/repairs; log leads and renewal due dates in ERP/Service Dashboard (or CRM if applicable)
5. Logistics and Inventory
· Coordinate incoming imports to the office storeroom; Support packing and shipping of outward instruments/spares.
· Support order processing team in maintaining orderly spares/instrument inventory, perform periodic counts, and prepare receiving logs/GRNs where applicable.
6. Reporting, Documentation and ERP
· Maintain installation registers, service call/visit logs, preventive maintenance checklists, and customer service reports.
· Manage service tickets via ERP and Service Dashboard with closure notes.
7. Teamwork & Communication
· Communicate clearly with customers; provide status updates, preventive care guidance, and closure summaries.
· Collaborate with the other team members locally or with HQ to resolve complex issues.
· Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives.
Who We’re Looking For
Education
· B.E./B.Tech. in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation OR Diploma with relevant experience.
Experience
· Hands-on experience in PCB level repair and calibration of electronic instruments.
· Exposure to R&D lab instruments, electrochemistry, or battery testing systems is an advantage.
Technical Skills
· Strong troubleshooting ability with component-level understanding (boards, cables, connectors).
· Proficiency with soldering/rework, crimping, and basic test jigs/fixtures.
· Familiarity with ERP & service ticketing tools will be an advantage; MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Behavioural Skills
· Ownership mindset, reliability, and attention to detail.
· Clear communication, organized documentation, and customer-first approach.
Language Skills
· Fluent in English; Knowledge of Tamil or Kannada is preferred.
Travel Readiness
· Willingness to travel up to 60% across South India and occasionally to other regions as required.
